At TASI, Thursdays are dedicated to iSTEAM: a hands-on, project-based learning experience that fosters curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking through a distinctly Islamic lens.
For TASI Core students (Grades 3–8), iSTEAM Enrichment Day is already included as part of the weekly program, so no separate application is required.
Homeschooling families who wish to continue educating their children at home while joining TASI for enrichment and socialization are welcome to apply for our Thursday-only iSTEAM Access program.
What is iSTEAM Access?
iSTEAM Access is TASI's Thursday-only enrichment program for homeschooling families who want to supplement their home education with hands-on learning, meaningful socialization, and an Islamic learning environment.
Each Thursday, students participate in iSTEAM (Islamic Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math): an engaging, project-based program that integrates academic concepts through creativity, collaboration, and real-world problem-solving.
Rather than teaching subjects in isolation, iSTEAM encourages students to make meaningful connections as they:
- Build, design, and create
- Think like engineers, scientists, and innovators
- Apply academic concepts through hands-on projects
- Collaborate with peers in a fun, engaging environment
- Develop creativity, curiosity, and critical-thinking skills within an Islamic framework
iSTEAM Access is designed for families who love homeschooling and are looking for a high-quality enrichment experience one day a week without enrolling in TASI's full academic program.
Academic & Islamic Workshop-Style Learning
Our iSTEAM day combines the excitement of workshop-style learning with the grounding of Islamic values. Students experience immersive, hands-on stations such as:
- Qur’an-inspired engineering builds
- Nature and science explorations tied to signs of Allah’s ﷻ creation
- Robotics that reflect ethics, teamwork, and stewardship of Allah’s ﷻ creation
- Nutrition and physical health as taught in Prophetic Medicine ﷺ
- Art projects rooted in Islamic design
- Deepening a greater understanding of our rich, Islamic history as pioneers in math and science
