Tarbiya Instructor
As a Tarbiya Instructor, you play a lead role in guiding daily instruction and supporting students throughout the full academic day. Instructors are primarily responsible for classroom flow, lesson delivery, and student engagement while nurturing both academic growth and Islamic character.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading lessons and small-group activities using the selected curriculum
- Supporting students individually to reinforce understanding and academic progress
- Integrating Islamic values and character development into daily learning
- Preparing and organizing classroom materials and activities in advance
- Monitoring and documenting student behavior and engagement
- Collaborating with Tarbiya Coaches and volunteers to support classroom needs
- Tracking student progress and sharing observations with families and leadership
Schedule: Full academic day
Compensation: $12/hour
Tarbiya Coach
As a Tarbiya Coach, you support instruction during academic hours by working closely with Tarbiya Instructors to help students stay engaged, focused, and supported in their learning. This role mirrors much of the instructional and student-support work of an Instructor, with a shorter daily schedule.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting lessons and small-group activities using the selected curriculum
- Providing individual student support to reinforce learning and understanding
- Modeling and reinforcing Islamic values and positive character
- Assisting with classroom materials, activities, and transitions
- Monitoring and documenting student behavior during academic hours
- Collaborating with Tarbiya Instructors and volunteers to maintain smooth classroom operations
- Sharing student observations with instructors and leadership
Schedule: Core Academic hours only
Compensation: $12/hour
Volunteer
Our volunteers are the backbone of our Microschool. By contributing your time and skills, you:
- Assist with classroom activities and hands-on projects
- Support small group learning and individualized attention
- Help prepare materials, set up learning stations, or manage events
- Mentor and encourage students in both academic and character development
Volunteers help us keep our program affordable, vibrant, and effective—their work directly impacts student learning and the overall community.
